So the brain scans came back and they are clear! However, there is still some swelling in her brain so they are keeping her in the CCU until that goes down. But that also means... they still haven't determined the cause of the stroke.
After they move her from the CCU they will be moving her into a really nice room and she'll be doing three hours a day of various types of therapy. She was doing much better today and was able to sit up by herself. More to come!

On April 9th 2007, Gabi had a stroke - it remains unclear why this happened to a healthy, 30-year-old Master's of Music student(french horn).
This blog provides a place for people to get brief updates on her progress and send her well-wishes.
It has also been set up to allow those who are able to donate towards Gabi's large and unexpected medical costs, since student health insurance just doesn't cut it.
Anything you can spare goes directly to Gabi's best friend and roomate, Ryanne, who in turn directs the funds to hospital bills, medications, and - hopefully soon!! - outpatient therapies.
